with Emily Ehrhart
Pranayama, or breath control, is a fundamental piece of any yoga practice. Through Pranayama we are able to build energy, focus the mind, and calm the body. It also supports us in flowing through our yoga sequences and sustaining challenging poses. Pranayama is an important component of meditation, and can be practiced off the yoga mat as a coping skill for many of life’s challenges.
In this workshop we will explore several different types of pranayama and their impact on our energy and focus. We’ll do a gentle yoga practice that links the breath and movement. We will also practice meditation that uses pranayama to establish mindfulness and connect us to the present moment. All levels welcome!
Fee for this workshop is $20 (includes sales tax)
