Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to touch your nose to your knees, slide into the splits or press into a handstand? In reality, most of us have issues with mobility (flexibility) or stability (strength) that keep us from accomplishing these amazing feats. In this class we will explore and work to improve deficits that hinder our body’s ability to move safely, whether it is in everyday life or in advanced yoga postures. And no, we probably won’t ever get into some of those advanced postures, but we may inch closer toward them. This class is for yogis with some experience already. (Wednesdays at 10:30)
Not Your Daughter's Yoga
Not Your Daughter's Yoga refers to a "brand" of yoga that is geared towards a more mature body and respects aging joints and varying degrees of flexibility. Open to all levels, we will cover traditional sun salutations, standing, and seated poses, with each class offering a slightly different approach. Relax with a deep savasana! (Fridays at 9am)
A combination of gentle poses to warm the body, followed by gentle twists and restorative poses. All levels are welcome, especially those new to yoga. (Thursdays at 4:00pm)
You will stretch and strengthen the body gradually. We will emphasize the breath and body working together in unison. Practice is a slower pace with attention to alignment. (Sundays at 7:30 and again at 9am)
This class is similar to Gentle Yoga above, but has more focus towards flowing from one pose to the next following the breath. (Wednesdays at 9am)
"More Yin, please"
In Yin Yoga, we stretch deeply into poses and hold poses for a longer period of time, a few minutes to allow deep tissues to relax and stretch. This class is often relaxing while we work on the deep ligaments, tendons and connective tissues. Focus will be on letting go to go deeper into poses and honoring your body with respect to your own body's limits. (Sundays at 4pm)
Seriously, I'm a Beginner
Exactly, what it sounds like. This class builds from the beginning of the month to the end. However, you can come all 4 weeks or start anytime you would like. Choose between purchasing a 4-week series ($50) or as a drop-in ($16). This class was named after countless calls and emails with the prospective student asking, "Seriously, I'm a beginner which class should I take?". We will practice and discuss proper breathing for yoga, alignment, and build into downward Dog and Sun Salutations week by week. (Wednesdays at 7pm)
All About the Basics
This class is perfect for the beginning yoga student or anyone who wants to focus on the foundation of the yoga poses and the breath work. This is also a logical next step when the "Seriously, I'm a Beginner" Student wants to step into the next level class. (Mondays 7:00pm)
Dynamic Vinyasa Flow
Dynamic Flow is a invigorating practice aligning breath, intention and flow. This class allows you to explore your edge through the full spectrum of yoga poses with the perfect balance of sweat, effort, and ease. Open to all levels, however a more challenging asana class, not recommended for beginners. (Thursdays at 9:30am)
Go with the flow
This Monday morning class will go beyond stretching and strengthening the body in asana poses to include training the mind as well. Learning to create balance in effort and release, moving mindfully and staying present. (Mondays at 9am)
This Prana Vinyasa class is invigorating yet suitable for all levels. The aim is to open the flow of vital energy in the body through asana (postures) and breath work, with an emphasis on breath and movement. The class flows through gentle warm ups, pranayama, and asana sets that prepare students for focus on a peak asana. The second phase of class is focused on deep opening and releasing postures, relaxation and preparation for savasana. (Wednesdays at 5:30pm)

These are sister classes at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Come to either or better yet both and build your morning yoga practice from the foundation up. Start with a morning practice and shine on the rest of the day. (Tuesdays at 7am)
Chakras are energy centers in your body that affect you physically, emotionally and spirituelly. This class uses yoga poses, visualization and breathing techniques to help you bring balance to each of the chakra locations in your body. We start in a seated position and move up through each of the chakra locations. I will take you into poses where you can focus on the color of light associated with each of the chakras. This is a gentle flowing class for all levels to guide you to a place of balance and serenity. (Thursdays at 7am)
Taking it Easy
Just Vinyasa is the purposeful linking of a sequence of postures to form a complete asana practice. Synchronizing movement with the breath, this class will move through poses simple to more complex, preparing the body along the way. (Tuesdays at 5:15pm)

These 6:00 a.m. classes are the longest standing classes since the inception of Sweet Peace Yoga, circa 2008. Kickstart your day with a powerful flow to strengthen the body and inspire the mind! These classes introduce intermediate and a few advanced yoga poses (with modifications given to beginning students). All levels welcome, but expect to sweat and smile. (Mondays & Fridays at 6am)
Re-set your week, on Wednesday, with a Sunrise class to invigorate your day and keep you strong for the remainder of the week. (Wednesdays at 6am)
A vinyasa practice incorporating pranayama (breathing techniques) and linking that breath awareness to asanas (postures). This practice will help your build strength, increase flexibility, and find focus, all while bringing awareness to the center. (Fridays at Noon)
Sweet Peace Saturdays/Slower is Stronger
Saturday Morning Flow
In this 9:00am class on Saturdays, we offer you a sample of the different flavors of yoga. We will include simple sun salutations, standing poses, and gentle twists to strengthen and stretch the body. An invigorating flow practice is taught with opportunities to deepen your practice both mentally and physically. Check the schedule there is often an additional 9:00am class named "Slower is Stronger" with Natasha. This class takes a bit more time to settle into poses with additional cues on alignment in basic postures making it more suitable for beginners.
For those that want to start their practice a little later in the day, this class is at 10:30am. This class fills up fast so arrive a few minutes early so we can make room for everyone. Signing up in advance is encouraged.
Stetch, Balance & Flow
This hour class will focus on a continuous flow with awareness of breath as it relates to the body. Emphasis on gentle stretching and balance, and use of modifications and props are encouraged as needed. Open to all levels. (Tuesdays at 8:30am)
This class builds heat and strength in the body. Sun Salutations flow with strong resemblance to Ashtanga Yoga. Find your edge in this class. (Tuedays at 9:45am)
