Our Instructors
All of our instructors are Registered Yoga Teachers or are in training to become fully certified through Yoga Alliance. All take additional classes, coursework and workshops to continually refine and hone their skills that will help students grow and build upon their own ever evolving and changing needs.
Christa Stauder
Christa Stauder RYT, is our new lead instructor at Sweet Peace.
Christa has always been athletic and involved in sports and physical fitness for most of her life. As a child, she was a gymnast and played many sports including basketball and softball.
Three years ago she took her first yoga class and discovered a new level of fitness, awareness and a sense of something beyond her experience of consciousness. She was so moved with the power of yoga she decided it was important enough for her to share her experience with as many people as possible.
Christa is dedicated to sharing the life changing power of yoga. Her goal is to become a studio owner and offer yoga to children and adults of all ages.

Emmet Schmelig
LMT, E-RYT, took his first yoga class in 1992 and found that, for the first time in years, he felt peace within his body and mind. He immersed himself in yoga classes and in 2006, became a Yoga Alliance certified instructor. Emmet began teaching to full classes and workshops in St. Louis and even led classes during a visit to Peru.
Although a seasoned instructor, Emmet continues his own training as a student of Baron Baptiste.
In addition to teaching classes, Emmet is also a Yoga Alliance yoga teacher training instructor. He is a fitness coach, a certified personal trainer, a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists and a Licensed Massage Therapist. His classes, his sense of humor and down-to-earth approach are all very accessible. Contact Emmet Schmelig or call 314‑761‑5007 to purchase CHINA‑GEL.
Carrie Tallon
Ever since Carrie was little she has been drawn to movement and, still, as an adult she finds she is happiest while engaging in some sort of physical activity. While living an active Colorado lifestyle, Carrie began searching for something new, another physical challenge, yet something that would slow her down and give her a sense of stillness and quiet that she truly needed. That search ended on a little blue yoga mat in 2001 and she has been practicing yoga ever since. Carrie approaches her practice with honesty, humor, and curiousity, knowing every practice is an opportunity to nourish her spirit and learn a bit more about herself. The lessons she learns through her yoga practices she gratefully takes with her off the mat out into life.
